I've had a super exciting week as I've found out that 'The Mystery of The Colour Thief' has been shortlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize. If somebody had told me even last year that this would happen, I wouldn't have believed them for an instant!
This year is the 15th anniversary of The Waterstones Children's Book Prize, which supports and discovers new talent in children’s publishing and is selected by a wonderful team of booksellers. Over its history, the prize has championed a number of fantastic authors who have become firm favourites of mine, including Katherine Rundell and Annabel Pitcher.
'The Mystery of The Colour Thief' has been shortlisted alongside some other amazing titles this year. You can see the shortlists in the other categories here and watch a fantastic video of young readers talking about all the shortlisted books here.
Winners of each category and the overall winner will be announced at an event on Thursday 21 March. I'm super excited!
